Radical Change

What does it really mean to follow God in a world that keeps shifting beneath our feet? This message takes us on a journey through the tension between what never changes and what must change if we are going to remain effective as believers. Drawing from Ephesians 4, we are reminded that certain truths form an unshakeable foundation for our faith -- one body, one Spirit, one Lord, one God who is over all and through all. These are not negotiable, not cultural, and not subject to the pressures of any generation. But here is where the challenge gets personal: while the foundation stays firm, the methods we use to reach a changing world must be Spirit-led and willing to evolve. The sons of Issachar in 1 Chronicles 12:32 are held up as a model -- leaders who understood the signs of their times and knew the best course to take. That is the question being put to us. Do we understand the signs of our times? Are we willing to let the Holy Spirit move us beyond the familiar and the comfortable so that the unchanging gospel can reach people in very changed circumstances? This is not a call to abandon what we believe. It is a call to carry it forward with courage
