Living Above the Snake Line
Are we living our lives above the 'snake line'? This powerful message challenges us to examine where we stand spiritually. Just as early American settlers sought land above a certain elevation to avoid poisonous snakes, we too are called to live at a higher spiritual level. The story of Moses and the bronze serpent in Numbers 21 serves as a poignant illustration of how looking up - to Christ - can save us from the 'venom' of sin. We're reminded that through faith in Jesus, we've been elevated out of the 'swamp' of sin and positioned in 'heavenly places'. This new position isn't just about salvation, but about daily choices that keep us living in God's abundance and safety. How often do we 'dip our toes' back into sin, only to get bitten? It's time we recognize our elevated status in Christ and make decisions that honor our new position above the 'snake line'.
