Living Above the Snake Line
Are we living above the snake line? This powerful metaphor challenges us to elevate our spiritual lives. Just as early settlers sought land above the natural snake line for safety, we too can live at a higher spiritual level, free from many of life's troubles. The key lies in our relationship with Christ, who has 'delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son' (Colossians 1:13). This elevation isn't just about position, but also enlightenment. As we grow in our faith, we gain spiritual understanding that goes beyond our natural comprehension. We're called to be filled with the knowledge of God's will, wisdom, and spiritual discernment. This enlightenment sets us apart, enabling us to live lives that honor God and bear fruit in every good work. Are we striving to increase our knowledge of God and live differently from the world? Let's aspire to grow like flowers, reaching up and out of the dirt of our old lives.
